The Arrival

"Hello Fwends - My name is Buddy!
I am a Miniature Schnauzer and I am 8 weeks old.
My new Mommy did not plan to have me, but I plan to make her VERY happy!
(I think her heart melts whenever I act cute and flop down on her feet)
Mommy also has an old deaf dog called Muffin - she looks a bit like a cat.
I growl and bark at her every time she tries to smell my bum. She does not growl back.
Perhaps I should just give in, let her smell me and get acquainted.
That way, I could be her "ears" and in return she could teach me a few tricks.
My life partner was born yesterday - she will join me in the middle of December.
Her name is Lulu.
I bet I am the first pup to EVER get a Lulu for Christmas!"

The above is what The PM  had to say on her photo blog http://atmaggiezlenz2011.blogspot.com/
on the day that I moved in with her.  What do people know, anyway?
So I decided to start a blog of my own to 'tell it how it is'  - from my point of view, of course!
"The PM" is short for The People-Mommy, but with me around it also means the Puddle-wiper-Mommy or the Poop-picker-upper-Mommy - for now, that is.
In a year or so it would probably also mean The Puppy Manager!
I have grown somewhat since this photo - the PM is always making fun of my long legs.

This is my side of the story:
The old deaf one (called Muffin) read me the rules soon after I arrived. She followed me around and carried on and on about how this is her house because she was here first.
All the while I just sat there and pretended to listen.... (She also insisted on smelling my bum, but I would not let her..... )
...... but still she went on and on and on...............
I retreated to a quite corner in the garden to think about the situation and decided that I had better give in and let her smell my bum. That  would probably be the only solution...
... and here we have it!!    Much to my surprise she gave such a big sidestep that she nearly fell over to get away from me.
And no - it's not what you're thinking - I behaved... really, I did!
