November 1 to 8, 2014

All dressed up in the PM's lovely collars. (see our page on Puppy ID collars)
Good old TD is also in the picture again to show how the puppies have grown.
Dusty really loves the soft toys. Most of the toys used to belong to Aunty Muffin who passed away last year at the age of 16. The PM was crying this week. It would have been Aunty Muffin's birthday on the 7th. The PM still misses her very much. I curled up on her feet to try and make her feel better.

Dawson saying "I love my shishter Daizy"

Mini-me's at play. They really love their new enlarged territory and play vigorously.
The PM jokes and says that the house belongs to the Schnauzers and that she is a working guest. Especially at puppy time :)

All fall down. The PM loves to watch the puppies play and then suddenly settle down to rest.
Even old Foxy looks worn out.

First introduction to Hills Science Diet - mmmmmm. Loving it.

We are SO proud of the puppies that are using the artificial grass to potty on so early in life..
Well - mostly. The PM has had a few surprises. Like a number 2 placed neatly in the water feeder.
I, of course have been giving them 'the Speech' from day one.

Sunday was the puppies' first time in the outside play area.
While others are curious, Dawson's expression says it all: Are you going to leave us HERE??

Dozer looks out at the big wide world. Schnauzer pose perfected.
Makes me so proud that I could just burst out of my fur.

Introducing the litter....
What lovely names the PM has chosen.
New owners are of course welcome to choose whatever names they wish.
Our names are for ID purposes only. It just sounds better than 'the red boy' etc.
The PM of course likes to coochee-coo and tickle tummies while calling them by name.
We often get jealous of all the attention the pups get, but we love how she loves our babies.

October 8 to 11, 2014

The PM thinks this is the look that my lovely Lulu is giving me says in People language
"see what you've done to me?"
All the while she is saying "How I wish she would put that camera away"

Somehow the PM got this photo out of focus, but I asked her to post it anyway.
It is to show size by comparison to TD (The Dog on the right which is part of the family but certainly not one of ours)

Four days old and already the birthing collars have had to be replaced.

My lovely wife Lulu is so content.
Not as content as the puppies though - aren't they too gorgeous for words?

October 7, 2014

My lovely wife Lulu and I have perfected the recipe!
4 Boys and 3 Girls again.
We are healthy and much loved and the PM has just let us be.
It took a few years but we have finally convinced her that there is NO way she will keep us from honeymooning when Lulu is in the mood and doesn't have a headache, Ha ha.
This photo shows Lulu being the wonderful mother that she is soon after Dawson made his appearance. There was no hurling from me this time. I stood broad and brave throughout the birthing process.

April 25, 2014 - 7 Weeks

The litter will be seven weeks old tomorrow.
The PM had her camera out again today and so that I can bring you new photos...

We  spend most of the day outside in the courtyard where the puppies can run and play
We have not spotted the bird of prey again - good idea of the PM  to leave us outside
Aren't they adorable?

The PM sits in the puppy enclosure on this little pillow for a while every afternoon before she brings the puppies inside for the night.  She plays with the puppies and they clamber all over her and chew her toes.  She giggles a lot ;)

April 20, 2014

Today we are bragging with puppies from our previous litters. . . .
The PM received this photo of our beautiful Bella who lives in Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape.
Isn't she gorgeous?
Here is Bella when she was just 8 weeks old

Our handsome boys Andy and Axel moved to Mt Edgecombe.

They share the love of their new owners with two large Boerbulls
They are puppies from our first litter.
The photo below was taken when they were just 6 weeks old.
The PM remarked with a big smile that they are still wearing red and green collars.
(The same colours that the PM put around their necks at birth for ID purposes)

April 13, 2014 - 5 weeks

It is hard to believe that the puppies are 5 weeks old already.
The puppies love the outside play area that the PM has prepared for them. Today we had another visit from a nasty bird of prey again! We were inside with the PM and when she went out to check on the puppies, the bird was sitting near the puppy pen. Well, I don't know who got the biggest fright - the bird or the PM. I bolted outside and gave chase but the bird had taken off at great speed.
The PM has asked that Lulu and I stay outside when the puppies are out for playtime.
That way we can keep the bird away.

The Potty Patch is working very well and all the puppies are now using it. The PM is extremely impressed - little does she know it's because I chat to them regularly to teach them what is right....

March 29, 2014 - 3 weeks

Our beautiful puppies are three weeks old now and beginning to look like something I could play with!  So small yet barking when there is a strange noise in the house.
A lot of playing going on, but also a lot of sleep!
The PM has introduced the Potty Patch to the pen - we have had quite a few hits but plenty of misses. Clara is a regular visitor - unfortunately she only puts her front paws on the patch and then proceeds to pee next to it. So Sweet. Pretty soon we will be playing and I hope they will follow our good example and not mess in the house.

March 22, 2014 - 2 weeks

Two weeks and growing........... Sleeping most of the time, but growing!

March 15, 2014

Well - you should have seen the PM's face when she arrived home a few months ago and found my lovely Lulu and I tied in a love knot after all her effort to try and keep us apart ☺
Needless to say (ahem) we became proud parents of 4 boys and 3 girls on Saturday before last.  Now the PM has threatened to send me away  the next time Lulu feels like going on honeymoon ... I know her heart though - and I know that she will miss me too much and will certainly make a better plan when the time comes.
In the meantime my lovely Lulu is doing a very good job of caring for the little ones while our PM is having a lot of fun faffing around them (along with plenty of coochy-cooing of course)
Their eyes are open now and they are beginning to stand up to try and walk.
Still very wobbly but soon it will be play time - oh and how I love to run and play with the little ones even if I am outnumbered. The PM says it is my duty as Daddy to teach them well.
The PM also says that the puppies will be ready to go to new homes as from 3 May. To book a puppy please contact the PM by sending an e-mail to maggzgrey@gmail.com
PS: The PM is our "People Mother"  in case this is your first visit to
my blog and you were wondering...

January 3, 2014

Puppy update...... 5 months old and gorgeous.
Whoo hoo -  Our little Bella's PM sent us photos :)
Bella looks like a real 'happy camper' - can you see the caravan in the background on the right? She is so beautiful - and judging by the photo on the left,
quite the Madam....
We were told that Bella and Aunty Jenny are now the greatest of friends.
What a relief.
Ahhh - she looks like me at 5 months - did I say she was beautiful, or what??  :)

Our Bouncy Little Binky - she still acts all 'serious' when she spots the camera on her - just like I taught her.
We have been fortunate to have Binky live with us all along!
(See - I TOLD you she was the PM's favourite)
Turns out the PM was protective over Binky because she was so much smaller than her siblings. She kept telling people that 'the perfect new PM or PD will appear at the right time - all the while enjoying Binky and finding comfort through her after the loss of our dear old aunty Muffin in June 2013. Aunty Muffin was nearly 16 at the time....  I sure hope that I can spend such a long and happy life with my PM:)
