Growing fast!

Today the PM decided to do a collage of a selection of photos taken over the last week. You can clearly see that the PM is not the only one that is smitten! That's me with the big beard checking in on the kids and handing out kisses. Top left is Lulu feeding the six pack this morning - see how they've grown? The PM was quite mad at me yesterday. I went chasing after something in the garden and somehow got covered with 'Forget me nots".  I tried my best  to remove them myself by biting at them, but obviously that only made matters worse.
Needless to say, my legs are now shaved and so is my tail and my tummy. I am thankful that she left my beautiful beard and eyebrows.... and also that it is not winter now!

The Six-Pack

When I mentioned the *f a t* word in the previous post, I meant it!
My poor little Lulu was HUGE. (and beardless for hygienic reasons)
This photo was taken a few hours before the arrival of our puppies.
This photo was taken with a cell phone - apologies for the wild flash!

Our first puppy was born just after 1pm on 30 January

Shortly after 3pm and we had a six-pack!

3 February. Four days old, weighed, named and collared, or should that be 'coloured'?
The PM devised a puppy crate with mattress and fitted sheets. See if you can find all six puppies? ;)

9 February. Lulu giving me a look that says 'don't you think our kids are gorgeous?'

17 February. The puppies have grown at an alarming rate..
Lulu now finds it more practical to sit while they are feeding.
I am so proud of my not-so-little-anymore-family. All are healthy, shiny and beautiful.
If you are interested to buy one of our cute offspring, please click on the "Puppies" tab
at the top of this page to find details.

PS: I think the PM is smitten:

BIG news in 6 tiny packages

I have been away from the blog for a while because I have been a VERY busy dogman since the wedding.
Keeping a wife happy is not for sissies.
With honeymoon babies on the way Lulu obviously demanded my constant attention.
BUT..........
Today it is my pleasure to announce the birth of our first litter!
The PM did a great job as 'midwife' today!
PM was previously short for 'People Mommy', but today I officially promote her to 'Puppy Manager'.
She assisted my lovely Lulu during the delivery of  our SIX puppies.
Three boys and three girls.
The little paw in the photo above is hardly 10mm from side to side and the weight of one pup is 155grams.

Here is Lulu with our brand new babies. Tired but quite content.
Twenty paw, oops! I mean twenty four pretty pink puppy paws.
I have to be the proudest doggy-dad in the world!  Thank you Lulu-L♥ve!
If the PM has her way, they will be registered as ....... wait for it......
Amy, Abigail, Andy, Angelique, Alex and Alfie! All starting with A because it is our 'Alpha' litter
Because most of Lulu's time will be spent caring for the puppies,
I will make use of the opportunity to show you more photos soon!
(Phew - free time at last!)
While pregnant, Lulu used to lie stretched out on her back,
while I had to lick her tummy - a full time job, I kid you not!
I don't think it is quite safe to mention the word * F-A-T *  just yet, but once I have plucked up enough courage I will show you a photo that the PM took this morning of Lulu in all her 'rounded' glory - shortly before the pups were born!  Until then, I prefer to stay on the safe side....

Happiness

This is the People Mommy again...
The happy couple have returned from honeymoon.
They spent most of the evening sleeping nose-to-nose and paw-to-paw.
This photo smacks of  l♥ve!!
Hopefully life will soon be back to normal and Buddy will share
with you the bliss of married life....

The Wedding

ANNOUNCEMENT:
The "People Mommy" is proud to announce the wedding of Buddy and Lulu earlier this week
It was a very private affair and no cameras were allowed...
The happy couple is still on honeym♥♥n!
Under the given circumstances, the PM is quite sure that Buddy will have no objection to her writing on his blog ...*grin*

June 9, 2012

Its a dogz life!
Due to a lack of 'The Perfect Photo' the PM (People-Mommy) has not allowed me to post anything here for ages!  Believe me, she tries, but we have invented this game:
Whenever we see the camera pointed at us we start running wildly or start a rough & tumble.
Poor thing,  perhaps she deserves better, because as you can see she lovingly cares for us.
This month I will be 10 months old, while my Lady Lulu will be 8 months.
We are very good friends and inseparable - even old Muffin loves us to bits.

(The old dog lost one of her protruding fangs the other day & she sure looks funny, but Lulu and I try our best not to make fun of her. The PM certainly won't approve!)
The PM seems to be getting rather worried about us & I have heard her talk about having to put  a 'Belly Belt' on me - perhaps it is to stop me from getting too cold?  *doggy-grin*
I have also noticed that she does not refer to us as puppies anymore,
although there is always a fair amount of baby-talk when she tucks us in for the night.

Watchdogs

When I said we were going to be good watchdogs, I meant it!
We love to sit on the front step and watch - we watch the birds, we watch the children
playing on the field, we watch.............. well........... anything that could possibly be watched!
I am now 5 months old, and Lulu is three months young.
The PM (in case you have forgotten - that is the People Mommy) is very pleased with us
because we are both house trained now - no more puddles.
What she is NOT happy about is the fact that we have become qualified garden destroyers and as if that is not enough - we love to drag all the evidence into the house!
It is great fun to see her face when she returns home from school to find sticks and stones and leaves and beheaded plants all over the floor.
The PM thinks I have outgrown this stage, but I just loooove to help my Lady create chaos - I can't let her take all the blame!

My first shave...

Today I had my first Schnauzer shave.
It was a rather daunting experience, to say the least.
As you can see from the look in my eyes:  I am NOT a happy chappy!
I sincerely hope that I don't have to go through that again soon!
The experience itself was bad enough but the fact that it feels as if I have a prickly
pear pinched under my tail is killing me!
The PM can't stop staring though - she can't believe it's really me!
I am a very handsome chap,  even if I have to say so myself....
The PM did not want to post this photo because it was taken without a flash
and the light was not good. I insisted though - I think my Lulu looks SO cute here!

Dinner!

The only thing that Lulu likes more than me is FOOD!
She sits down, goes in head first and starts gobbling - the tail never stops wagging!
The PM thinks Lulu "drinks" her kibbles in the same way that she drinks water.
Lulu is fed in the kitchen because she heads straight to my bowl when she is done with hers .
I used to also gobble up all my food as fast as possible, but I have outgrown that.
Good news is that the PM is impressed that Lulu has not messed in the house for two days.
What the PM doesn't realise is that I should get the credit for it.
I am the one that leads her outside & I am the one that stands there & looks ridulous
while I try and coax her to do the right thing
Lulu used to run and hide at the PM's feet whenever I barked, but she discovered
her bark today!  We are going to be a mean team of watchdogs

Playtime

Lulu & I love to play with Muffin's toys. There are some very interesting things in the toybox.
This is a collection of soap powder spoons & strange looking pegs on a keyring
The PM said it was Muffin's first toy that she made for her 14 years ago.
We both like it because it is noisy. No wonder the PM calls it a rattle.
The PM is very clever at creating home made toys. This is an old broomstick that she cut up to make large wooden "beads" & then threaded onto a length of nylon rope.
It is great to chew on & I love to run with it because it seems to run with me!
Lulu is not too fond of it, though
The PM loves it when I hold something in my mouth & make the brghu-brghu! sound of approval
